Nick qualified from Cambridge Vet School and after two years in general practice returned to Cambridge as the PetSaver’s resident in Soft Tissue Surgery and Oncology.

He completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University. He was Surgical Oncology Faculty at the University of Florida from 2006-2014, becoming Head of Oncology in 2011.

Nick moved back to the UK in 2014 and was appointed Professor of Surgical Oncology at the University of Surrey School of Veterinary Medicine and co-founded what is now AURA Veterinary, also in Guildford, Surrey.

He is a Diplomate of the European and American Colleges of Veterinary Surgeons, a Past-President of the Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology, an ACVS Founding Fellow of Surgical Oncology, and is the only surgeon working in the UK to have completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology.

Nick is Clinical Director of AURA Veterinary, a centre for excellence in oncology (medical, surgical, interventional), soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and interventional radiology. Patients are treated from across the UK and Europe.

Nick is on the Specialist Advisory Board for StreetVet (Soft Tissue and Oncology) and a founder member of the Oncology Working Group of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA), a group of oncology specialists from across the globe, whose mission is to improve awareness of cancer in cats and do

gs to the general public, and educate how veterinary surgeons can help, regardless of geography, language and resources.
