26/08/19: Clinical Veterinarian in Oncology at University of Cambridge

Purpose of the role 

Department of Veterinary Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Veterinarian in Oncology with effect from 1 October 2019, or as soon after as possible thereafter. 

Along with other academic staff you will be responsible for providing small animal referral oncology services to the Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital; practical teaching of small animal oncology to undergraduates; and for training Junior and Senior Clinical Training Scholars. The appointee will be responsible to the Director of Small Animal Medical Services. Candidates must have completed an approved Residency programme in Medical Oncology and have passed or be eligible to sit the Certifying examination for ECVIM-CA (sub-specialty Oncology) or the ACVIM equivalent. They should have at least one relevant article published in a refereed journal and have experience of presenting research abstracts at National or International meetings. Working closely with the existing Small Animal Oncology team,the role will involve the training of postgraduate Senior Clinical Training Scholars to sit the ECVIM-CA(sub-specialty Oncology) Diploma.
