18/05/2023: Rad Onc position @ Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre, Australia

We believe that pets are family and deserve the best care!

Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre (BVSC) is a values-driven, purpose-built specialist veterinary hospital supported by an after-hours emergency and critical care service, all with a culture of providing speciality care with compassion. With a new Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator being installed in early 2023, an opportunity has arisen for a veterinarian with specialisation in dual boarded Radiation/Medical Oncology to join our dynamic and skilful team.

BVSC has strong relationships with the primary care veterinarians who chose to refer. Our case load is busy and varied. Our expert oncology team attracts cases from across Australasia and the entire hospital embraces innovation with a strong focus on fostering new ideas and ethical collaborative research with leading industry partners. You will be joining an experienced, high performing, successful and collaborative team that work across surgery, surgical oncology, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, internal medicine and ophthalmology as well as services in dentistry and physiotherapy to surround our patients with the best possible care.

Successful candidates will hold DACVR (Radiation Oncology) or DECVR (Rad Onc) and be eligible for recognition by QVSB as a Radiation Oncology specialist or both Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology specialist. They must be eligible to practice as a Veterinarian in Queensland.

Demonstrated experience with successfully training residents, student training and a strong research background are also supporting attributes of candidates for this position.

Competitive remuneration, relocation and visa assistance are available to the successful candidate. We also offer a progessive Employee benefits suite/package that encompasses health care discounts (for you and your animal friends), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a visiting site counsellor, fitness passport and paid parental leave to name a few.
