Dear valued Colleagues,
We would like to inform you about a new study at the Division of Radiation Oncology, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich.
Cats with squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal planum, treated with two different radiotherapy techniques, will be compared.
Our conventional treatment protocol (10 fractions of radiotherapy within 5 days) will be compared with a new technique of radiotherapy (FLASH-RT; only one fraction is needed in one day). The study is an ethical approved experiment. In a previous pilot study, several cats were treated with FLASH. The outcome (radiation effect, side effects, and tumor control) was similar or even better compared to conventional RT. The group assignment will be randomized, and there will be also a discount for study participation.
For further information and case pictures, please see the attachment.
We would like to include your clients into our treatment project, as stated above, the owners can profit financially and will receive a good treatment either way!!
We thank you very much for your help!
Case inquiries can be sent to our mail address (firstname.lastname@example.org), please include photographs. You can also reach us directly by phone 044 635 8487.
